4 reportedly killed as INEC withdraws Corps members

Four individuals have been reportedly killed during the ongoing Bayelsa governorship election in Nembe and Opotoma areas in Southern Ijaw.

 

There are reports that four persons have been killed in the Southern area of Ijaw local government area during the ongoing Bayelsa Elections.

Leadership Newspaper reports that four individuals were killed during a fracas while scores of voters have been injured as violence rocks election in Nembe and Opotoma areas in Southern Ijaw.

It was further reported that the violence has seen the Independent National Electoral Commission taking steps in guarding officials that include members of the National Youth and Service Corps.

INEC, it has been reported, has withdrawn corp members following violence in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State.
