Ekiti Governor attacks APC

Fayose described as laughable, the fact that the national executives of APC cleared Audu to run as their flag bearer in Kogi state.

Governor Ayo Fayose has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Party (APC), for fielding Prince Abubabakar Audu, as the Governorship candidate of the party in Kogi state.

Prince Audu served as Governor of Kogi state, twice. First, from January 1992 until November 1993 and then, from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003.

Fayose said Audu is not qualified to run for office, since he has corruption cases to answer.

He described as laughable, the fact that the national executives of APC cleared Audu to run as their flag bearer in Kogi state.

Fayose said “It is laughable when the APC national body cleared Abubakar Audu to contest the governorship election when he is facing trail in the Lokoja High Court and in Abuja. Where was President Buhari? Can he claim that he is not in the know?”

The Governor also said “The APC-led government only dillies-dally around the challenges confronting the nation; the issue of Boko Haram and the dwindling economic situation became worse in the last six months of the Buhari administration.

“This government has only achieved a lot in the area of chasing shadow, making the nation worse for the people.”

Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose, was sworn in as the Governor of Ekiti state, on 16 Oct 2014.
