Delayed Ministerial screening: Dele Momodu rallies support for ex-gov

Amaechi was initially scheduled for screening on Wednesday, October 14, which was moved to today, October 20 - but was suspended again.

Mixed reactions have trailed the delayed ministerial confirmation of the former governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, whose screening has been postponed twice.

According to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, Senator Dino Melaye, Amaechi was not screened because the upper chamber decided to reduce the number of nominees to be screened daily.

However, Nigeria Twitter has been busy with reactions to the postponement, with many rooting for the ex-governor, including Ovation publisher Dele Momodu.

"The drama is needed to make us appreciate Amaechi the more", Momodu tweeted while canvassing more tweets in favour of the Ministerial nominee.
