PDP Chairman still being investigated for corruption – EFCC

The EFCC had arrested Sheriff in June 2015 after he was accused of looting funds during his tenure as the governor of Borno State.

The disclosure was made to Punch on Monday, February 22, 2016, by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren who said “Sheriff is still under investigation.”

“We can ask him to come back anytime we need him. I cannot disclose the details of the investigations for now but the matter is already in the public domain,” Uwujaren said.

Sheriff was accused of mismanaging a sum of N300bn which he received from the Federation Account between 2003 and 2011.
