Fashola says Jimi Agbaje is too old to rule Lagos

Fashola stated this during a special rally held by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, January 14.

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has said that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje is too old to rule the state.

“You know what you must do. Open your eyes clearly. You see, this job is a tough job. When I took this job, at the age of 44, I was counting the number of white hair on my head. Today, at 52, I am counting the number of black hair on my head,” Fashola said.

“Akinwunmi (Ambode) is younger than me. You need youthfulness to do this job. That man (Mr. Agbaje) is already 60, he cannot cope with this job. If you call him at night he will not take your phone,” the governor added.

Ambode, the APC governorship candidate for the state, is 51-years-old while Agbaje is 57.

Fashola also urged voters in the state to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the end of January.
