Uber has been denied the grace to renew their licence to operate in the city of London by the Transport For London (TfL).
This was seen today Friday, September 22, 2017 in an official tweet by the regulators.
TfL said Uber's "approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility in relation to a number of issues which have potential public safety and security implications", and therefore “not fit and proper” to further hold the licence.

Uber’s current licence will be expiring on Saturday, September 30 and will have a grace of 21 days to appeal the decision.
Fellow ride-hailing company Taxify three days after launching in London were suspended for running into legal issues with TfL.and also appealed for a re-lauch.
Uber says it has 3.5m users in London and 40,000 drivers. It has been operating in the capital since 2012 and has faced huge opposition from taxi drivers and other critics over its treatment of drivers with accusations that it has added to congestion in the city.
