Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the suspended lawmaker representing Kogi Central District, has broken her silence following a gunmen's attack on her family residence in Kogi State.
In the early hours of Tuesday, April 15, 2025, suspected gunmen invaded the residence of Senator Natasha's family in Obeiba-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The hoodlums, who also wielded cutlasses and other sundry weapons, vandalised the building and shattered window panes, reported on X by Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency expert.
According to Makama, a team of security operatives from the Okehi Division responded swiftly after the lawmaker's Chief Security Officer (CSO), Yakubu Ovanja, reported the attack.

Though there were no reported casualties or arrests at the scene, preliminary investigations have commenced.
While she had kept silent since the report broke, Senator Natasha finally spoke up on Thursday night.
In a post on her Instagram page, the Kogi lawmaker called on the Nigeria Police authorities to hold the trio of Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, and his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, responsible if anything happened to her.
"@nigeriapoliceforce, I reiterate, should any harm befall me, @nigeriansenate President Godswill Akpabio, Ex Gov. Yahaya Bello & Gov. Usman Ododo of Kogi state should be held responsible," she wrote.
Though there was no direct reference to the gunmen's attack, the Senator's post is a reiteration of her earlier claims that Akpabio and Bello were planning to eliminate her.
