Liberian Patient In Critical Condition

Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian who took Ebola to the United States, is now said to be in critical condition

The first Ebola patient in the US, Liberian, Thomas Eric Duncan, is now said to have deteriorated from being in serious condition to being in critical condition.

Mr. Duncan became the United States’ first case of the disease when he tested positive on September 30 after arriving in Dallas, Texas from his disease-ravaged country on September 20.

The Liberian is currently being quarantined at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital after being initially sent home with antibiotics.

Officials are currently tracking down all possible contacts of Mr. Duncan and his family members are being monitored for symptoms of the disease.

The WHO announced on Friday, October 3, that the Ebola death toll had risen to 3.439 with over 2,000 of that number being from Liberia.
