The first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the US, Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan, is said to be fighting for his life in a Dallas hospital.
Duncan has been placed on a ventilator and a kidney dialysis machine to help stabilize his health, the management of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital said yesterday, October 7.
According to Reuters, the hospital also added that the Liberian’s liver function had declined over the weekend.
Duncan is reportedly being treated with the experimental drug, Brincidofovir.
He was confirmed to have Ebola on September 30 after arriving Texas from Liberia 10 days earlier.
