Ebola Cases Now Above 2000, Says WHO

The World Health Organization released the new figures after saying the outbreak is the worst yet

The confirmed cases of the Ebola disease have risen to 2240, according to the World Health Organization.

The number of casualties in this year’s outbreak, the worst ever recorded, have been put at 1229.

The WHO had earlier issued a statement saying that the outbreak was being greatly underestimated and that it would take about 6 months to bring it under control.

The death toll for Ebola has been recorded in four countries across West Africa including Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
