5 Other Artistes Star Boy Has Had Beef With

Wizkid is currently in the news because of the back and forth between him and his former producer Samklef. Even Saeon who featured Wizkid on her single 'Boogie Down' has entered the mix saying that the star boy didn't even retweet the link to the song when it was released.

It's looking like a bad month for Wiz.

At Pulse Music we have decided to make a list of five artistes Wizkid has had issues with over the years.

1) Banky W/EME- Once his mentor in the game, Wizkid went rogue at the end of 2012. The new star act was up in arms over the nature of his recording contract which he felt was unfair and not just. In protest he went to London, England and established his vanity imprint Star Boy. During the cold war, there where subliminal tweets between Wizkid and Banky W/the EME bosses. Wizkid came back into the country in February 2013, and met a cold reception at Banky W's album launch. Cooler heads prevailed and Wizkid's contract was adjusted to allow the act drop only one album under EME before his exit.

2) J. Martins- Wizzy had a few words for the producer/artist when he berated him for insulting one of his fans. Wizkid wasn't having any of that and took to his Twitter to set the record straight. In a couple of tweets sent to J. Martins, he said he never insulted any of his fans but a person who insulted him on Instagram. He went on to say he was disappointed in J. Martins who he considered a veteran in the industry. J. Martins later went on to say he made no comment about Wizkid.

3) Davido- In Nigerian pop circles, Davido is regarded as Wizkid's arch-nemesis. The bad blood between the pop titans goes back to far as 2012 brought about by the Mo' Hits split. Even though they publicly squashed the beef story, many people believed they weren't best of friends. The Davido/Wizkid beef reared itself a few months ago when Wizkid made a statement on Instagram about how his New York concert was going to be more on point than that of a certain artiste. This statement was sent a few weeks ago when Davido's NY concert didn't go according to plan. Wizkid's a flood of barbs between him and Davido. Their beef nearly split Twitter into Team Davido or Team Wizkid. The beef has simmered down with both acts saying they are willing to work with one another. They are cool now, but we have a feeling that one wrong statement will set things off again.

4) Tonto Dikeh- Even though they were (rumoured lovers) that didn't stop Wiz from taking a shot at the Nollywood actress when she released her ill-fated single 'Hi'. Twitter went nuts when the song was released with hundreds of memes and thousands of tweets flooding the micro-blogging site. Wizkid couldn't help it and had to partake in the fun. "Shawty needs to chill...lol" became the highlight tweet of the Tonto Dikeh roast. All is fair in love and wack singles we guess.

5) Cyrus Da Virus- Way before Wizkid became a continental star, he and veteran Cyrus Tha Virus crossed words online. On a normal day on Twitter, Wizkid stated his opinion that Nicki Minaj was the best female rapper of all time. Cyrus Tha Virus criticized the young act and questioned his knowledge of rap music. Wizzy didn't chill and replied saying Cyrus was a veteran who never had a hit song. Before you could send a DM, Hip Hop heads had quickly gathered and took shots at Wizkid for dissing one of their own.
