Katy reportedly wrote the song by herself with little support from her friend Bonnie McKee and it was produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke. Roar erupts as the lead single from her highly anticipated third studio album, “Prism”schedule for an October 22 release via Capitol Records

Before she dropped this bomb, Katy had flashed a teaser exclusive to Vevo in August called “Roar – Burning Baby Blue” where she was seen burning her candy blue hair. In the second teaser “Roar – The Third Coming”, released on August 5, the ‘Teenage Dream”was buried while the fourth Teaser, “Satin Cape” was unveiled on August 9. It was the final. A new thing was coming!

Although the song has a catchy chorus and easily: “You’re gonna hear me roar… ooh ooh oh oh oh oh, ooh ooh oh oh oh oh“, critics claim the new hit is very watered down, with fairly flat and smooth sound. Perry is back with a roar but sound rather weak. The criticisms continued attacking her usual hit –wonder missions, ”the song is so far from her “instant hit” style of her lead predecessor singles “I Kiss a Girl” (2008) and “California Gurls” (2010). Furthermore, if all this were not enough, the basis of the song sounds exactly as “Brave” by Sara Bareilles (2013).” A source commented.

However, on an adventure through the jungle, the intrepid Katy Perry becomes a Tarzan, after surviving a plane crash. Once adapted to life in the jungle, the artist brings out her most sexy side using a high heel-spear and also gets crowned the queen of the jungle after roaring louder than the tiger roar called “Kitty Purry“.
