Singer-Producer signs new management deal

The music producer and singer has agreed a new management deal with a media company, in an arrangement that puts them in charge of his music career and image in Nigeria and Africa.

Internationally acclaimed and award-winning music producer and singer, Cobhams Asuquo,has agreed a new management deal with media company, Upfront and Personal Global Management Consultants (UPGMC) in an arrangement that puts them solely in charge of his music career and image in Nigeria and Africa.

Cobhams who has been spending a lot time in the United States mainly to focus on his music, was at the Lagos office of Upfront and Personal, and he said:

"I am so excited about this deal. When I met with Paul [Paul Okoye, MD/CEO Upfront and Personal], and he shared what his plans were for me and the Cobhams brand, it was though he was speaking my mind and my heart. I’m a fan of The Fuse and what Paul has built. I can’t wait for everything to start happening!”

Speaking to the CEO of UPGMC, Mr. Paul Okoye. He had this to say about the deal.

“Cobhams and his music have always been close to my heart. His story is one of hard work and perseverance and I believe everyone has something to learn from him, his music and his life story. We are excited about this partnership and the world just needs to see what we have planned for Cobhams in Nigeria.”

Cobhams was also signed to Upfront Celebrity Bookings, the celebrity management arm which has in its care such bankable stars - Don Jazzy, Wizkid, Kcee, Davido, and is also responsible for endorsements for major brands like MTN, Pepsi and Star Lager beer.

Industry inside sources reveal that this deal opens up the super producer and singer to huge brand endorsement deals from corporate firms.

Are we going to see Cobhams Asuquo brand endorsement this year? We’ll have to wait and see
