Rivers to host BON 2014

Best of Nollywood Awards would rock Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital this year 2014. It is one of the biggest gathering of the movers, shakers and shapers of Nollywood.

The 2014 edition of Best of Nollywood (BON) will take place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeriafilms.com has learnt. It was gathered that Rivers State was given the right to host the show later in the year. In a statement made available to Nigeriafilms.com, it was disclosed that Rivers was given the rights because “of a lot of reasons; Port Harcourt is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa, the state has produced some of the best brains in Nollywood and Gov Amaechi has also provided an enabling environment for tourism and Nollywood.” The statement also revealed that Governor Amaechi is happy to welcome Nollywood stars to his state on Saturday, October 4, 2014, when the awards ceremony holds. BON awards, since it started six years ago, has risen to become one of the most prestigious and transparent award ceremonies organized to honour movie practitioners in Nigeria.
