The Martin Luther King Weekend is reported to be a skeptical release period for major motion pictures due to the 4-day weekend. Hence, box office earnings during this time are often tabulated differently.
Ride Along opened at 47.8 million dollars, surpassing the previous record holder, Cloverfield, that opened with 46.1 million dollars back in 2008.
With Kevin Hart establishing himself as a sure bankable Hollywood star and Ice Cube's continuous string of wins, this is just the beginning for greater things to come.
