It's not for nothing that Genevieve Nnaji is revered as the queen of Nollywood and Nigerian entertainment in general. With a star power that has remained unwavering through the years and several endorsements running into millions, she is arguably the most influential actress on the block.
It's no surprise then that self-acclaimed Bruce Lee of visuals, Kemi Adetiba looks forwards to working with her. But that's not all, the leading cinematographer also believes she can get much more of her than what we've already seen.
"I feel like we haven't seen the best from Genevieve, I feel like I can bring out a lot more from her, something very different from what we've seen of her" she said in an exclusive chat with Pulse.
"Directing isn't just about holding the light, its about focusing on talent and bringing the best possible talent from it. That said I feel like I can interpret an amazing story with Genevieve Nnaji in it, I would love to work on a project with her."
When asked what male she would cast in a lead role, were she involved in her own production, Kemi named Banky W as her preferred option.
"Banky always strikes me as someone who could be a bit of a triple threat - singing, acting and rapping. He has a lot of confidence and speaks extremely well. So I'd like to see him in front of a screen acting and a little bit out of his element to shake his confidence a little bit but I still think he'll deliver"
