Nigerian Actor replies racist 'Star Wars' fans

Actor replies fans who are against a black man potraying a stormtropper in movie.

The inclusion of a black stormtropper; John Boyega, in the “Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens” movie, is obviously not appealing to some fans who are against the idea of black stormtroopers.

Following the release of the trailer on Friday, many fans took to the internet to criticize the director of the movie, J.J Abrams, for casting a black actor to play a stormtrooper.

The controversial response led to the hashtag #blackstormtrooper to become as a trending topic on Twitter.

John Boyega however took to his Instagram to give a classy reply to the 'racist 'Star Wars' fans';

Thank you all for the love and support! The fan mail and joy has added to my joy. Isn't it crazy that Star Wars' is actually happening?

I'm in the movie, but as a Star Wars fan, I am very excited. A year is a long time, but it would be worth the wait. To Whom It May Concern "Get used to it" - he replies.

John Boyega (born 17 March 1992) is an English actor born to Nigerian parents. He is popular for his character as Moses in the 2011 movie 'Attack the Block'.

John also featured in 'Half of a Yellow Sun' as Ugwu; Odenigbo's houseboy. His other movies include 'Junk Hearts', 'Imperial Dreams', 'My Murder' and 'The Whale'.
