Sony co-chairman wants actor to be the next James Bond

Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman, Army Pascal, expresses his wish for Idris Elba to be James Bond in an e-email that has been leaked.

A hacked email has shown that one of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s bosses wants British actor, Idris Elba, to be the first black James Bond.

In November 2014, the computer systems of Sony Pictures Entertainment were hacked by a group that the FBI believes has ties to North Korea. The country is said to be unhappy about the release of the company’s movie .-which is about two journalists instructed to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un after booking an interview with him.

Plenty of the Sony e-mails have focused on one of Sony’s most prized assets -the James Bond franchise, including the 24th Bond flick, Spectre, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 6, 2015.

For years now, there have been lots of rumours and talks of a black James Bond and it seems on of Sony’s top bosses has somebody in mind already.  One of the e-mails leaked shows Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman, Amy Pascal, confessing that Idirs Elba should be the 007.

Do you agree with Sony Pictures Entertainment boss that Idris Elba should be the next James Bond? Can he pull it off if given the chance?
