Over $1m Spent On The Film 1897 Invasion Of Benin Kingdom- Lancelot Imaseun

It's another epic movie from one of the top directors in Nigeria, Lancelot Imaseun. We remember his wonderfully scripted epic movie Adesuwa and now he is set to release his new flick'

The Bini director is obviously proud of his roots, he is set to release a movie set in the Benin land. Earlier this year, the director explained how important the movie is to him. The challenges of making such a huge movie. The cast of the movie include Segun Arinze, Paul Obazele, Charles Enogie, the late Justus Esiri, Briton Rudolph Walker and the British born Nigerian, Charles Venn.

Speaking while on a courtesy visit to the heir apparent to the Benin Kingdom, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediauwa, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen who is the initiator and director of the film said a total of one thousand (1,000) notable actors and actresses from across the country participated in the movie. He said the film is expected to be premiered in Benin City in May 2014 however thanked the Crown Prince for his support both financially and morally towards the success of the film production.

In a brief remark, the Crown Prince Ehenden Erediauwa commended Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen for his effort in promoting the Benin race through his film and movies. The Crown Prince also called on all indigenes of Edo State irrespective of their political affiliations to support the promotion of the Benin race.

We are expecting this new flilm. Lancelot has never failed us and  we know he isn't starting with this.
