Actress expresses joy over winning NEA Award

The actress showed her humble side while enthusing about her recent award. She thinks every nominee in the category deserve the honour due to their hard work.

The award show was held in New York, United States, on September 4, 2016.

Other Nigerian acts mentioned in the category include Omoni Oboli, Adesua Etomi, Genevieve Nnaji, Nse Ikpe-Etim and Belinda Effah.

Balogun won the award due to her role in the movie, "Ishanna", which featured top acting professionals like Muyiwa Ademola, Kenny George, Babatunde Usman and Morenikeji Alausa.

Expressing her excitement after winning the award, Balogun said, “I am honoured to have this recognition bestowed on me at this level,”

“We put a lot of effort into the project, and everyone is deserving of this award.”
