Dakore Akande is a Nollywood actress and singer. The Bayelsa State born actress obtained a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.

The actress started her acting career professionally in the year 1997, she got her major break from the TV drama " Inheritance". The drama series led to the birth of the Iconic Dakore.

Dakore was the first presenter of " Sound City" , She is popular for movies like : Emotional Crack, Journey to Self, Tentacles, The Playboy, Ultimate Risk, Hear Word, Before The Sun Rise, Hole In The Heart, When The Going Gets Tough, Unconditional Love and others.

Dakore had her first major performance as a singer at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall as a backing vocalist. Dakore is a lover f music, according to her, in an interview with Genevieve Magazine, the actress stated that her husband's love for music drew her to him.

Dakore was the face of the new Amstel Malta advertising campaign in 2007, she has lot sof awards to her name. In 2006, she was awarded "City people Award For Excellence" best actress. In 2005, she was awarded "Outstanding Performer" At The African People's Intercontinental Awards, Washington D.C USA.

Dakore Akande is married to her hearthrobe Olumide Akande. They got married on the 16th of January 2011 and their union is blessed with two kids.

Dakore is loved for her simplicity, diction, sense of fashion, beauty, carriage and distinct talent.
