Five great TV series have been nominated in this year’s 'Best Television series' category.

The nominees are "Jane and Abel," "How to Find a Husband," "Santala," "Officer Titus," and "Daddy;s Girl."

The series focuses on Jane Kazi, a competitive and highly independent woman and a 24/7 media group owner whose main mission is to get revenge on the Simba family, headed by the eldest son and CEO of Simba Media Empire, Abel Simba, who strives to keep the family business that dominates its market share.

Jane is the illegitimate daughter of John Simba and step sister to Abel. She holds a deep resentment to the Simba family and does everything in her power to drag it down to the drain.

Directed by Erica Anyadike and Simiyu Barasa, the Kenyan series stars Lizz Njagah Konstantaras, Sarah Hassan, and Mumbi Maina.

"How to Find a Husband" follows the lives of 3 women and their dating adventures and misadventures in the "romantic jungle," Nairobi.

Santalal is a Kenyan soap opera that stars Faith Munini, Gerald Langiri, Desmond Elliot, Lydiah Gitachu and Blessing Lungaho.

Santalal, a young lady freshly graduated medical student arrives at Kujorok, a Masai undeveloped location in Kenya's Masai land in order to practice medicine in a dispensary that practically lacks medical practitioners.

She has to face the over-conservative people, work overtime since she is the only doctor in the area and try to adapt to the hostile conditions in Kujorok. She thereafter meets a Nigerian, Kennedy Badmus who will break her heart.
