Husband Sets Wife Ablaze For Giving Him Female Children

This is a clear case of madness as an husband could send assassins to kill his wife because she gave him only female children.

Before the incident, the husband, Paul Nwakpuke, a patent medicine dealer, had allegedly hired some assassins to kill his wife so he could get married to a woman who will give him a son but when the plan A failed, he fell back to plan B which was to set her on fire.

According to reports, the three assailants laid ambush for Monica outside her father’s home and when she came out to ease herself, they descended on her, blindfolded her, beat her black and blue and kidnapped her.

On their way, when they found out that she was not dead, the doused her with fuel, and set her on fire. They reportedly told her that her husband sent them to kill her.

When they discovered that she had been severely burnt to the extent that she may not survive it, they abandoned her and ran from the scene.

But as luck would have it, some passersby found her and took her took her to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, where she is battling to stay alive.

According to the police, the husband has been on the run but promised he would soon be arrested and brought to book.
