Nigeria must be born again – Pastor says

A Presidential Commission for National Reconciliation, Reintegration and Restructuring should be set up to address the numerous challenges plaguing the nation.

Bakare said for Nigeria to move forward, a Presidential Commission for National Reconciliation, Reintegration and Restructuring should be set up to address the numerous challenges plaguing the nation.

Channels Television reports that he said “This commission should be mandated to work closely with the stakeholders and power-plugs, as well as legislative houses to create a new national identity for the Nigerian people and facilitate the creation of an acceptable functional governmental structure for Nigeria.”

Bakare also added that “Integrity is not enough to run a nation, Nigeria must be born again.”

The clergy man also asked the Federal Government to hold a referendum, where the people can put together a new constitution.

Bakare added that Nigeria’s problems are caused by what he termed “consequence of counterproductive national standards and self-limiting frameworks.”

He also said the Federal Government should have consulted widely before increasing the pump price of fuel.
