Governor’s aide kidnapped during APC rally in Rivers

Freddy Ndiagbara, a staff of the Rivers State Government House Press Unit, was abducted during a ward rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kaani 1 in the Khana Local Government Area of the state.

Unidentified gunmen, on Saturday, February 21, kidnapped an aide of Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.

Freddy Ndiagbara, a staff of the Rivers State Government House Press Unit, was abducted during a ward rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kaani 1 in the Khana Local Government Area of the state.

Ndiagbara’s captors were said to have invaded the venue of the event and taken him away after shooting sporadically to scare bystanders.

The abduction has been confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state, Ahmad Muhammad who assured that the police would take all necessary steps to rescue Amaechi’s aide and arrest his kidnappers.
