DSS reportedly arrests radio director in Lagos

Acclaimed to be the Director of Biafra Television, Radio Biafra, and Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Kanu's deputy, Uche Mefor confirmed his arrest.
 
 

There are reports that the boss of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has been arrested by the Nigeria Secret Police, Department of the State Services, DSS.

According to a report on Vanguard Newspaper, Kanu was arrested by the security operatives in Lagos on Saturday, October 17, 2015 shortly after his return from the United Kingdom.

Acclaimed to be the Director of Biafra Television, Radio Biafra, and undefined, Kanu's deputy, Uche Mefor confirmed his arrest.

Though the IPOB claimed the arrest has seen Nigeria playing into the grand strategy of Biafrans, the DSS authorities were yet to publicly make any statement about the arrest.

IPOB is a separatist movement that call for the independence of Nigeria’s former Eastern Region – proclaimed the Republic of Biafra in 1967 and reannexed to Nigeria three years later, following a civil war that claimed between one and three million lives.
