Applications rise to over 800,000 ahead of May 13 deadline

Buhari had approved the recruitment of 10,000 policemen into the nation’s Police Force to reinforce the police for better service.

 

In a statement issued In Abuja by the PSC Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, applications, numbering 243,327 were received for Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) cadre while 197,990 and 401,691 applicants applied for the Inspector and Police Constable (PC) cadres respectively.

The commission had said it would recruit 500 Cadet ASP, 500 Cadet Inspectors, 1,500 Specialist Officers and 7, 500 Constables in the recruitment exercise.

The exercise is expected to close on May 13.
