Here is the breakdown of the 2017 NASS budget

According to the copies of the budget document made available to Pulse, NASS inflated its budget by N10 billion in the 2017 appropriation bill.

Comparing the details contained in the NASS budget document, copies of which were made available to Pulse, to the 2017 budget presented to the legislature by President Muhammadu Buhari, NASS inflated its budget by N10 billion.

The budget was jacked up from the original N115 billion presented by Buharito N125 billion.

The 2017 budget, which the President presented to NASS in December 2016, was passed into law on Thursday.

But in the process of scrutinising the budget, the national assembly committees added N143 billion to the initial N7.28 trillion presented by Buhari.
