Troops kill 4 suspected kidnappers

Four suspected kidnappers have been killed by the Nigerian troops in Bauchi after they fell into an ambush by the army.

According to a statement by the Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman in Abuja on Tuesday, the troops killed the suspects after they laid ambush for them following a tip off.

Usman said the incident happened at Sabon Kura village in Ningi Local Government Area of the state.

“The kidnappers were on their way to Diwwa village for kidnapping.

“The troops engaged the kidnappers and after exchange of gunfire, four kidnappers were confirmed dead”, he said.

He said three Dane guns, one cutlass, three handsets, some quantity of hard drugs and local charms were recovered from them.
