Ekweremadu condemns attack on Enugu community
In April 2016, Fulani herdsmen also attacked the Ukpabi Nimbo community in Enugu state.

Ekweremadu also called on the Federal Government to take steps to curb the incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen.
He said the attacks by the group in various parts of the country poses a threat to the security, stability and economy of the nation.
The Deputy Senate President also commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for rallying security operatives to stop dare devil armed robbers who stormed the state recently.
He said “Enugu is a peaceful place, and I salute the gallantry and efforts of Governor Ugwuanyi and the security agencies to ensure that it remains so.”
Speaking further on the menace of the Fulani herdsmen, Ekweremadu added that “This is another heartbreak, not only for Enugu State, but the nation in general; and whatever evil forces behind these reprehensible acts certainly do not wish the country well. It must not be condoned.
“The primary object of government is the welfare and security of the citizens. The Federal Government must take decisive steps to put a full stop to this wanton destruction of lives and property; and the security agencies must do everything humanly possible to ensure that the perpetrators of this act of wickedness in Akag-be-Ugwu do not go unpunished”.
According to reports, a seminarian and four others were killed by undefinedof the morning.
