Nigerians react to return of queues

Nigerians across the country have reacted to the fuel scarcity that has quietly found its way back into filling stations.

There were reports that fuel marketers had asked the Federal Government to increase the cost of fuel to enable them import the product and meet local demands.

Major stakeholders in the petroleum downstream sub-sector however dismissed the report of an imminent increase in the price of fuel, saying it was uncalled for.

Some respondents also confirmed that filling stations in the Lekki area were not selling fuel, while others had long queues.
