The order was given by presiding judge of the Federal High Court in Lagos, Justice Ibrahim Buba on Thursday, June 4, 2015.

Buruji Kashamu

A Federal High Court in Lagos has stopped the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) from taking further action in its plan to arrest and extradite Senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu to the US to face drug charges.

The order was given by presiding judge, Justice Ibrahim Buba on Thursday, June 4, 2015.

Buba further asked all parties in the matter to maintain status quo until the determination of the suit.

The NDLEA had, on Tuesday, June 2, said that it had filed an extradition request and served notice of same on Kashamu.
