The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt today, Saturday, December 12, 2015.

According to a report by Leadership Newspaper, Buratai's motorcade was attacked by suspected shites members in Zaria, Kaduna.
The assassination attempt was further confirmed by the Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman.
