President presents 2016 budget to National Assembly [PHOTOS]

Buhari made the presentation of the N6.08 trillion budget proposal today, December 22, 2015 at a ceremony which was moderated by Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has presented the 2016 budgetto a joint session of the National Assembly.

Buhari made the presentation of the N6.08 trillion budget proposal today, December 22, 2015 at a ceremony which was moderated by Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The event was attended by Senators, House of Representatives members and other top government officials.

Notable among the guests were Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, House of Reps speaker, Yakubu Dogara and Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mahmud Mohammed.

Buhari also said during the ceremony that the pump price of petrol would remain at N87 per litre for now and that the government was working hard to end the current fuel scarcity plaguing the country.
