‘President is as fit as a fiddle,’ Yakubu Dogara says

Dogara made the comment on Thursday, February 16, after visiting Buhari in London on Wednesday.

“After burning national issues, it was all PMB's vintage humorous jokes. I’m so elated he is as fit as a fiddle,” Dogara tweeted.

Dogara was joined on the visit by Senate President, Bukola Saraki who also said that Buhari is in good spirits.

“The president I saw today is healthy, witty and himself…he is doing well, was cheerful and in good spirits,” Saraki said.

President Buhari has been out of Nigeria since January 19 when he travelled to London for a 10-day medical vacation.

The president was due to resume on February 6, but he wrote the Senate on February 5 to extend his vacation indefinitely.

In the letter, Buhari wrote that he would not return to the country until his doctors rule out “certain factors.”
