President Muhammadu Buhari

Buhari gave the explanation on Thursday, March 24, 2016, during a meeting with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

“For globetrotting, sometimes, you need to present your case on personal basis to your economic colleagues and neighbours,” Buhari said.

“Nothing is better than personal touch and I believe that we are learning a lot and eventually, the nation will realize so.

“I don’t envy you on the harassment you are going through from your constituencies. Take it with a lot of determination and we will be all right, God willing,” he added addressing his party members.

The president also responded to critics of his administration by saying that he has three more years left to prove himself.
