Akpabio in hospital after Abuja car crash

Former Akwa Ibom State Governor and current Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio has been involved in a car accident.

Akpabio has been hospitalized at the National Hospital in Abuja due to injuries he sustained in the crash which occurred today, August 31, 2015, according to Vanguard.

The former governor’s convoy reportedly crashed into other vehicles but the extent of his injury, if any, is not yet known.

Doctors at the hospital are said to have declined comment on Akpabio’s condition saying that only his family has the right to do so.
