The United States of America has donated 24 mine-resistant and armour-protected vehicles to the Nigerian Army to aid in the fight against Boko Haram.
US donates $11M vehicles to help Nigeria fight terrorists
This was disclosed via a statement released by the Public Affairs Section of the United States Consulate General, Lagos on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.

The statement reads in part:
“The US is pleased to donate 24 Mine-Resistant, Armor-Protected (MRAP) vehicles valued at $11m to Nigeria’s military authorities.”
“The equipment donation represents part of the continuing US commitment to Nigeria and its neighbours to counter Boko Haram’s senseless acts of terror and promote regional security.”

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the military has technically won the waragainst the sect.
