The disclosure was made by the Deputy Commander for Counter-Insurgency operations, Major Gen Lucky Irabor at a press conference today, January 22, 2016.
“During the fierce of battle, 10 terrorists were killed, two AK-47 rifles were obtained, [as well as] magazines, some solar panels, and cell phones were recovered. One utility vehicle was recovered and destroyed,” he said.
“Our vigilant troops gunned down one terrorist and the other two bombers blew themselves up while rushing toward troops along Mafa Road, about 1 kilometre from the capital,” he added.
