Nigerians criticize Senator for silence on N8.64bn wardrobe allowance

Bruce has, in recent times, been vocal about the need for public servants in Nigeria to reduce their expenses and adjust their standard of living to reflect the situation in the country.

 

Bayelsa State Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce has come under severe criticism from Nigerians due to his silence on the N8.64bn wardrobe allowance which he and other legislators are set to receive.

The Senator, who is also the Chairman of the Silverbird Group, said during the company’s “Man of the Year ceremony” that politicians were putting themselves at risk of death by continuing to rob poor citizens of much needed funds and development.
