Showcasing the harvested rice, the farmers thanked Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his support through the farming season.

During his meeting with the farmers at the Onilapa Rice Farm, Ogbaagba, the Governor reiterated government's efforts in ensuring adequate food production for self sustenance as a State.

Aregbesola stressed that it's time for Nigerians to feed themselves.

The governing APC at the center has pledged to diversify sources of federal government revenue by ramping up efforts in the Agriculture and Solid Minerals sectors.

The States of Kebbi and Lagos have also embarked on similar rice growing projects.
