There are strong indications that it might connected with the $2.1b arms purchase scam, involving the former National Security Adviser- Sambo Dasuki.
Sources say when the mansion, which is located at No 19 Kumasi Crescent, Wuse II, was sealed by the anti-graft agency, only domestic staff were around.
According to reports, a neighbour to the Badeh’s said “They have been coming here for a while. I mean the SSS and police people. The last time they came we learnt that they didn’t receive the letter from them.”
Reports also said the former CDS was aware that the EFCC was coming for him, so he quickly jetted out of the country with his family members.
You will recall that the former Chief of Defence Staff was strongly criticised by Nigerians over his comments that the military under his leadership was ill-equipped.
Alex Badeh handed over to his successor, Major General Abayomi Gabriel Olonishakin on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.
