Document goes missing from National Assembly – Report

The disappearance of the document was discussed during a closed door session of the Senate that lasted 90 minutes.

 

The 2016 budget proposal has reportedly gone missing from the premises of the National Assembly, reports say.

According to Daily Trust, the disappearance of the document was discussed during a closed door session of the Senate that lasted 90 minutes.

The development was reportedly announced by Senate Leader Ali Ndume as Senators gathered to begin the consideration of the budget today, January 12, 2016.

Earlier rumours had it that the budget had been withdrawn by the Presidency and replaced with another but the reports were denied

The N6.8 trillion was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly on December 22, 2015.
