Within the last year and now, there has been a very stiff competition in the mobile sect especially on security management. Apple's iPhone and iPad have become the corporate standard, maybe as a result of high consumer satisfaction and superior security capabilities.
iOS VS Android VS BlackBerry
As Samsung pushes to be corporate mobile security standard, Apple's iPhone and iPad are determined not to give way, while BlackBerry gets ahead ...
Apple's iOS 7 seems to have raised the stakes for Apple, including application management and licensing.
On Android, Samsung has been aggressively pushing it's SAFE (Samsung Approved For Enterprise) and its add-on Knox management APIs extend its coverage especially to businesses discouraged by Google's lack of concern for security. Samsung was going all-in on Android security, an aspect of the mobile platform to which even Google had long only paid lip service.
BlackBerry, gained recognition due to its hundreds of security capabilities, and is also trying to gain corporate relivance with its with BlackBerry 10 which supports basic Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) policies out of the box (a first for BlackBerry).
Seems all three Mobile Giants are tightening up their ends and tackling with the security issues we experienced in he first generational phones. Let's see how far they go.
