On day two of #PEBECHack, after several hours of hacking, each team pitched to the panel of judges which included: Chika Nwobi (Founder/CEO Level 5 Lab), Bunmi Akinyemiju (CEO, Venture Garden Group), Shina Oyeshina (Director of Developer Experience and Evangelism, Microsoft Corp), Tobi James Omitiran (Head of Innovation and Projects, High Tech Synergy), Deji Oguntonade (Divisional Head for Fintech and Innovation, GTBank), Adia Sowho (Director of Digital Business at Etisalat), and Stefano Martinotti (Partner, Business Technology Office, Mckinsey & Company, Johannesburg, South Africa).
After much deliberation, ServiTrack was adjudged third place winners with a N200,000 prize, InfusionTech came second with a N300,000 prize and Team Rhapsody came first to take home the first place prize of N1 million sponsored by L5 Labs.

Speaking to Pulse Tech, Ayokunnu Ojeniyi of Team Rhapsody said, “We are so happy to be winners. The team put in a lot of work. We just hope that there will be more events like this where programmers and tech people can do more to help the country. We will keep doing what we do best.”
The PEBECHack closed with a photo session with the judges, winners and other participants. The event was well organized with an obvious lack of “Nigerian time” and Andela’s Epic Tower Campus played host wonderfully.
Hopefully, there will be more partnerships of this kind between the government and the private sector to leverage technology for Nigeria’s advancement.
