79 Year Old Grandma Dazzles Judges AT Britain's Got Talent Auditions

What a teenager can do, an 80 year old obviously can do better...

When grandmother Paddy Jones, 79, and her professional partner Nico Espinosa, 40 stood before the judges at this season’s Britain’s Got Talent show nobody expected what they had to offer.

But their slow, romantic salsa routine soon picked up tempo and the grandma was swung around in intricate steps that involved splits even a teenager would find daunting.

Paddy, will be 80 in July.

The video of the duo’s performance already has 10,487,118 views and about 50,559 Likes on YouTube.

"Do you think you can win the show?" Judge Simon Cowel had asked her before the dance.

And her answer had been as direct direct and firm.

"It would be very nice, but just as long as people enjoy what we doing and we give people pleasure, that's enough," she had said.

It turns out Paddy knew what she was saying as their performance was so perfect that the judges sent dancing duo straight through to the live shows – the semi-finals.

An impressed, David Walliams, also a judge on the show said to the duo, "You are an amazing example to older people."

"I have been a dancer since the age of two and a half," Paddy says.

The grandmother of seven told the judges she gave up dancing to have children and only went back to her first love after her husband died.

"I hope you win Britain’s Got Talent," Amanda, one of the judges, told Paddy.

Britain's Got Talent is a British television talent show competition which started in June 2007.

The auditions are open to anyone of any age with some sort of talent and acts compete against each other in order to gain the audience support while trying to win the title of "The winner of Britain's Got Talent".
