Ariana Grande joined some of the world’s biggest female singers as President Barack Obama and the First Lady; Michelle Obama hosted the 'Women Of Soul: In Performance At The White House' last week.
Ariana who appeared to be the youngest of all the performers [20], was super nervous and excited at the same time as she took up the 1983 hit, 'I Have Nothing' by Whitney Houston, who according to her was her biggest inspiration. She, however returned on stage to render her Motown-influenced single, 'Tattooed Heart' which earned her a standing ovation from Madam Obama.
The little singing bird returned to join heavy weights such as Jill Scott, Tessane Chine, Melissa Etheridge, Patti LaBelle and Janelle Monae to singe Tina Turner’s all time best, 'Proud Mary'.
It was one hell of an evening and if anyone was in doubt as to whether, President Obama and Michelle knew how to put together a great party, this was all the confirmation they needed!
