The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said the police would be using search dogs to help find victims who are believed to be trapped under the collapsed building.

A building belonging to the church which was under construction suddenly fell on Friday, September 12, killing scores and leaving many others injured from the incident.
The Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola visited the scene where he called for an inquiry into the tragic incident.
Reports say Government officials claimed there was no approval for the erection of additional floors. The Commissioner for Physical Planning Olutoyin Ayinde, who was on Fashola’s entourage, said the church’s engineers were yet to present their permit to make such modifications.
The General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency, Abimbola Animashaun also affirmed that the church had no approval.
