Wicked Son Stabs Mother To Death

Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, Ebere Amaraizu, explains that the woman was asleep when Uchechukwu sneaked into her room at about around 5:00 am and repeatedly stabbed her today before fleeing the scene.

The world is surely coming to an end going by stories one hears every other day. This is another sad story of a son stabbing his own biological mother to death in Enugu, South-East Nigeria. The son, simply identified as Uchechukwu, allegedly murdered his mother, Eunice Ugwuozor, after an earlier minor disagreement in the family house.

According to police reports, the sad incident took place in Ubiekpo Abor community in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, on October 2, 2014. A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, Ebere Amaraizu, explains that the woman was asleep when Uchechukwu sneaked into her room at about around 5:00 am and repeatedly stabbed her today before fleeing the scene. He was later apprehended by the community people and handed over to the police where he confessed to his sordid crime.

Though the police say they are yet to determine the motive for his crime from Uchechukwu, the statement noted that the alleged murderer has an unresolved psychological problem.

The PPRO disclosed that operatives of the State Criminal Investigations Division of the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force have commenced a full scale investigation to unravel the mystery and circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing to death of the woman by the son.
