Female kidnapper arrested in Nasarawa State

A female kidnapper, Sandra Linus, has been arrested for kidnapping a 9-year-old girl.

The adage that what a man can do, a woman can equally do played out in its true character when a female kidnapper, Sandra Linus, was arrested by the police in Nasarawa State, for allegedly kidnapping a 9-year-old girl, named Nnenna Ogbonna, at Masaka in Karu local government area of the the state.

The 36-year-old woman, was paraded alongside other criminal suspects at the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID), in Lafia, the state capital. The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP Ogochukwu Theodore, said that Linus was arrested about 11:15pm on October 3 after one Ogbonna Njoku of Chief’s Palace, Masaka, reported the incident at the Masaka police station.

He narrated that Linus and one Anna Ndidi, who is now at large, conspired to kidnap the girl.

"The said Nnenna Ogbonna was later traced by the police to the house of one Helen Austine, a sister to Sandra Linus, where she was found but in an unconscious state because of the ‘snipper’ substance the suspect administered on her."

The PPRO explained that the victim was rushed to a clinic at Masaka for medical attention, adding that after her arrest, the prime suspect confessed to have committed the crime.
